Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5th 1956 at Woodland Hills California. She was raised by an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who taught. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and would often perform show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was six, which prompted being contacted by an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she'd like to enter the show industry. McCormick was chosen to play in her first big performance in 1964 on an tv commercial featuring Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the same year, she starred in another television commercial for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the character of the character Wind It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was in the company of over 1200 other kids to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed who were newlyweds with an unmarried family. The show ran for five years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. He was 19. She was just 16. She said that it would have been feasible, but we didn't have the proper time to do it.
