Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her parents were a mother who was a housewife and a father who was a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick started singing and performing at a very young age. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting into the entertainment industry. McCormick found her first role as a major actress in the year 1964. McCormick was in an advertisement for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. McCormick also starred in a commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the lead role in The Wind It Up and It breaks, a production at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the part of the eldest daughter of the trio of towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show ran for five seasons.
