Maureen Denise McCormick was born on the 5th of August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only child of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. She was raised by her mother, who was a housewife and a father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick began singing and performing at a very young age. Following her win in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick got her first big task in 1964 as she acted in a TV commercial featuring Mattels latest doll, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she was featured in another commercial that aired on TV for the doll Chatty Cathy. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter of the three towheaded girls in The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show ran for five seasons and the show was a successful one. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the fifth season of the television show, she nearly lost her the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was just 16. She told me that it could have been feasible, but we didn't have the proper time to do it.
